Fresh Feasts and New Hellos

It’s been a while since we’ve had our creative juices flow for Ever Bilena campaigns, that’s why we were excited to hear that they wanted us to pitch for not just one, but two new skincare brands! And while we thought that the production timelines for the accounts would be linear, here came the plot twist: we had to work on them simultaneously. But with CAPIE in mind, we knew we could make it work—and we did.

The Year-Long Feast Prep

While the main production timelines were almost simultaneous for the two accounts, Ever Organics actually started back in June 2020. Ever Organics is a skincare brand inspired by nature’s organic remedies, and its products are thoughtfully made in Korea, making it perfect for every hallyu fan—which is pretty much 90% of us at Itch—who want that K-glow!

As soon as Japa, our AM at the time, got the invitation from the account (which is one of his favorites), he couldn’t wait to start briefing us as soon as we confirmed our participation in the pitch! Many of us love the account too, so despite the limitations brought by the pandemic, our ideas flowed organically for the new skincare brand. We allotted a good amount of time for our personal brainstorming, then discussed our ideas with the team during a virtual meeting. Inspiration was brimming in our ideation deck! Delectable skincare, the five senses of skincare, and more; we couldn’t wait to share these concepts with the Ever Organics team! 

After presenting our pitch with utmost enthusiasm, our clients happily approved our ‘Feed Your Skin’ concept!                    



And then, here came the unexpected.

Due to external circumstances and logistical constraints, we had to put our production on hold as directed by the clients. It was only then revived the following year, just when we were introduced with another pitch from Ever Bilena: the pitch for Hello Glow!

Say Hello to Another Pitch

While Hello Glow is under the same mother company as Ever Organics, it mostly caters to skincare fans and starters who want a full set of skincare products for their routine without the hassle of searching through fully packaged sets. When we found out about having another pitch opportunity for another new skincare brand under EB, the team was quite astounded when we realized that we might be working on two huge productions at the same time should we win Hello Glow—and we got the account!                   

Given the level of effort, creativity, and attention to detail that we had from our brainstorming sessions to the actual pitch deck, we were confident that we would win the account. 360° skincare aesthetics, RuPaul’s Drag Race-inspired calligraphy with colorful backdrops, variations of “hello” and opening up to new things; these were just some of the concepts that we worked on together. And from that roster of concepts, we won the hearts of our clients with the “Say Hello to Hello Glow” concept mixed with RPDR’s style of calligraphy!

Two Skincare Worlds Collide

Once we heard about the exciting news, we knew we had to prepare for the onset of simultaneous production tasks. Thanks to our Account Executive Ely, Account Manager Erm, and our Traffic Manager Jervic, we were able to ensure that we had two separate art teams for each account to handle the workload.

From storyboard revisions, numerous pre-prod meetings, to actual shoots, everyone worked together to make our creative visions a reality. It was also a great advantage to have 1990 Films with us for both campaigns since it made coordination much smoother, especially for our Project Manager Steph. 

We were also glad to have our former Itch-now-Production Designer Katrish with us for the Hello Glow shoot; we knew that her expertise and resourcefulness is perfect for what our sets need, and she delivered!



Simultaneous Success

Once the productions started, we all couldn’t wait to see our vision come to life! Since we had restrictions to limit the exposure during the shoot, it was only Ely, Erm, and Audrey who were able to go to the set. But they made sure to send us photos during the shoot, which made us feel even prouder to be a contributor to the campaigns!

We can’t deny that working on two productions at the same time caused some moments of confusion for many of us. Sometimes we would think about Hello Glow but are actually working on Ever Organics! It was a tough period, but full of vibrant creativity and genuine enthusiasm nonetheless. Once they officially launched online, hundreds of likes and comments flooded the videos, and our clients were so happy with our final output too! Guess it’s safe to say that we had a festive time saying hello to new skincare brands.
