A Look Back At The 2021 Moments That Made Itch
2020 was filled with unexpected turns, yet we continued to persevere and make the authentic creatives we always strive for.
Now in 2021 and our 10th year, we’ve taken more steps into growing as an advertising agency. From new faces to unexpected opportunities, let’s take a look back at the 2021 moments that shaped us!
What?! Itch Is Evolving!
Here at Itch, we’re always working to be better versions of ourselves by embracing new challenges and evolving even further! For some of us, that means taking the next step in our creative journey and growing into new roles.
From just tumbling around and starring in our OLX ad years ago, #1 girl Mama Audrey made her way to being the full-time mother of our creatives as our new Creative Director. Lui, our Traffic Manager turned Senior Copywriter and Creative Lead started to live out his goals of being in the center of all the chikahan and ganaps as he evolved into our People And Culture Director. Meanwhile, Paul, Angie, and Hershey, our masterminds of Art, have started their reign as the latest king and queens of the kingdom as our Senior Art Directors. Hershey also became the new head of Art with her Photoshop skills and love for llaollao!
Last but never least, our mami Aira has taken her throne as the mommy brain cell and head of the Copy Department.
We’re extremely happy and proud of our Itch family and we can’t wait to see what more they can achieve in the coming year.
Hatching Up New Creatives
While our current Itches take on their next evolution, we’ve also expanded the company and helped develop our brand new set of Itch-lings.
Illustration Queen Justine quickly added her style (and mischief) to the Art Department; Sam surfs the web as our newest Social Media Executive. Noel, a baby demon (see: Account Executive), now haunts joins our JOs alongside his cutesy demon cat. A new brain cell has come to town in our Copy Department with Zak as our copywriter. Finally, Jeannah, our latest baby itch, made her debut to guide us through 2022 as our Traffic Coordinator.
Accounts Assembled
New faces and new positions also allowed us to open up new doors with a slew of challenges and accounts.
We continued our extraordinary journey alongside The Covenant Car Company Inc (TCCCI) as we worked on launching their latest flagship models; the MG ZST and the 2022 Chevy Trailblazer.
We were also fortunate to jump back into production work with our longtime client Ever Bilena Cosmetics, Inc to launch their new skincare brands; Ever Organics and Hello Glow.
Staying true to our vision and mission, we focused on authentic creatives with a purpose to make a positive impact. Partnering with Advance, we produced a video focused on providing employees financial security to boost employee engagement and company productivity. We’ve also partnered with the AHA! Learning Center in improving their website and producing an educational video to better promote their mission in helping children advance their learning.
Even while we were working from home, Itch was still able to win more pitches throughout the year. We’re proud to say that with the combined effort of nearly everyone at Itch, we scored three new exciting accounts under the Lenovo brand! 2022 is already shaping up to be another monumental time for all of us here.
A Legacy of Creativity
While we may be hard at work, Itch has always been ready to share our passion for authentic creatives with people outside of our company. As we continue to make history, our Itches have started leaving a bit of their legacy to help cultivate the next generation of creatives.
Lui inspired students of UP Manila’s Organizational Comm Society by sharing what makes Itch stand out and why we’re a great place for an internship! Thanks to his moving words, we got to teach and support a few new Itch-terns throughout the year. Our KV Master Paul also shared his passion for graphic design with the students of PATTS College of Aeronautics during their school’s "Create & Curate: Fundamentals of Graphic Design" workshop.
Always There for Each Other
An important part of developing authentic creatives is our focus on authentic care and compassion towards everyone at Itch. The internal systems that we’ve adjusted last 2020 have evolved so we can better motivate and inspire one another. Our Employee Recognition Forms (ERF) have been redesigned into A-Peer: Itch A Job Well Done so we could better share our praises and support for one another.
Not only that, we also have new initiatives like our monthly SpITCHal Mention where we could let our fellow Itches know how much we appreciate them and their amazing work. Our People and Culture Officer Japa also organized and started our Kamustahan Sessions with every department to check up on how each employee is doing.
We’re All Itch this Together
Itch has also taken new steps forward to ensure everyone’s safety as we journeyed through the year. We are proud to say that all Itches have already been 100% vaccinated and will continue to make the necessary steps towards a safer return to the office.
We’ve also continued to utilize Zoom outside of work with our latest Val-ITCH-tines and CostZOOM parties. While the Itch office might be closed, we’ve created our own virtual office in GatherTown that helps make us feel like we are all together again! With impromptu concerts blaring out through our speakers, it’s never a dull moment with the Itch team.
Itch Been A Decade
It still feels unbelievable to see that’s #ItchBeenADecade already for our small shop with big ideas. From handling smaller clients to managing several larger brands and projects, Itch has grown to achieve the bigger dreams that we’ve always had. It’s incredible to see how far we’ve come, but we know that we’ll just keep moving forward and create more Itch-tory in 2022!
